Designed for Pegula Sports & Entertainment in collaboration with Tim Hortons, the Memorial Auditorium Exhibit was a concept-to-completion project. We developed the exhibit from the ground up — starting with research through to the concept and development phases, and ending with construction management of the final installation. OW|EN also provided copywriting services to craft the exhibit’s narrative, including historical image & material sourcing. In all, this exhibit space was conceived and produced in just over 7 weeks.
A chronological timeline highlights significant events in the building’s history through photos, ticket stubs, concert listings, and stories of notable moments. Graphics were printed on both sides of over 25 feet of semi-opaque panels. The timeline is mounted above the surface of a six-foot-high mural depicting a vintage impression of The Aud.
OW|EN designed the presentation to capture the nostalgia of the environment, exploring color-coded events significant to Buffalo locals, whether it was a first concert, a legendary hockey or basketball game, or a Presidential visit. The Memorial Auditorium exhibit sets the atmosphere in the intimate cafe space, letting friends and strangers share memories, discover history, and find commonalities over coffee & conversation.
